Let's be real: Thanksgiving is either a 10-hour family marathon of awkward questions or a chaotic Friendsgiving party. Either way, you're gonna need a game.
If you're 21+, here are 7 Thanksgiving drinking games to make the day... well, more interesting.

This one’s a classic because it requires zero setup. It’s the perfect game to play low-key at the dinner table with your cousins.
How to Play:
Get your group and your drinks, and agree on the rules. You take a sip every time a predictable Thanksgiving thing happens.
Drink when:
Okay, this is our app, but it’s honestly perfect for this. If you’re stuck with cousins you haven't seen all year or want to kick off Friendsgiving, this is it.
How to Play:
Download the free Boomit Party app (it's on iOS and Android). Start a game of "Pass It On."
The app flashes a "most likely to" or category question. You answer fast and pass the phone (the ticking bomb) to the person who fits the answer.
Whoever is holding the phone when the bomb explodes has to drink or do a dare. It’s fast, chaotic, and way more fun than just sitting there.
This is the best way to find out what really happened at everyone else's family dinner.
How to Play:
Everyone holds up five (or ten) fingers. Going around the circle, each person says "Never have I ever..." followed by something they've never done.
If you have done it, you put a finger down and take a drink. The last person with fingers up wins.
Thanksgiving-themed prompts:
If your Friendsgiving is more of a party, this is a must. It’s just classic Jenga, but with consequences.
How to Play:
Get a Jenga set and write rules on the blocks with a Sharpie. When you pull a block, you have to do what it says. If you knock the tower over, you finish your drink.

This is the game Boomit is based on, and it works great with no tech.
How to Play:
One person asks a "Most likely to..." question to the group. On the count of three, everyone points to the person who they think best fits the description.
You have to take a sip for every person pointing at you.
Prompt ideas:
You've probably played this, but it's a Friendsgiving staple for a reason. It's loud, messy, and perfect for a big group.
How to Play:
Split into two equal teams on opposite sides of a long table. Everyone has a cup with an equal amount of their drink.
It's a relay race. The first person in line chugs their drink, places their cup on the edge of the table, and has to flip it so it lands face-down. Once they land it, the next person on their team can go. The first team to finish all their cups wins.
This one turns a family-friendly classic into something... well, less so.
How to Play:
Split into two teams. Write a bunch of Thanksgiving-themed words or phrases on slips of paper. (e.g., "Food Coma," "Awkward Silence," "Turkey Pardon," "Trying to explain your job to your aunt").
One person from a team draws a card and has one minute to act it out for their team to guess.
Whatever you end up playing, have fun, drink responsibly, and maybe avoid starting "Most Likely To..." with your really conservative relatives.
